The Privy Councillors Act of 7574

Article One. Seat and voice in the Privy Council. Section One. All persons who, having been duly elected to serve as Lord President of the King’s Councils, Lord High Chancellor, or Keeper of the Great Seal, shall have honourably completed their service with no fewer than two years in office, shall, during the time of their continued good behaviour, be entitled to seat and voice, but not vote, in His August Majestie’s Most Honourable Privy Council.

Section Two. The Privy Council may, for cause stated, revoke the privilege of seat and voice (giving written notice of its action to the Lord Great Steward) by a three-fifths majority of the whole number of those voting members who shall have served on the said Most Honourable Council for the six months next preceding the vote; and those who have not so served shall be ineligible to vote on the question.
